(On our previous adventures Sakaki Gato and Atsuko met up with a friendly boy named Wind in a country that always is under a downpour of rain. Unfortunately this came to an end when Boss Tengon showed up with his guards. They quickly took over and seemingly put the rain to an end. Sakaki and his friends traveled up to Wind’s village to find out what truly was going on to find that the Tengons had already taken over. With this, the group split up with two objectives. To find Boss Tengon and to restore the rain to Amekuni. Sakaki and Wind were up to the task until they met up with Boss Tengon and found out about Wind and his brother Thunder who seems to have taken the Tengon side on this matter. They do battle and Atsuko walks in to see that Sakaki and Wind have been defeated……)

 

Sakaki: Episode 16: Factory of the sun! Beware the heat beasts!

 

 

(Atsuko gasps softly as she watches Boss Tengon gloat over the defeat of his adversaries.)

 

Boss Tengon: Well Sakaki! Where’s all that cocky speech now? What’s a matter? Cat got your tongue?

 

(He begins to laugh obnoxiously, Atsuko steps backwards trying to escape slowly as Gato follows. The two of them make it outside again, and stand outside the gate to the Castle.)

 

Gato: Why didn’t we try to save them back there? Not that I care….

 

Atsuko: If we had jumped in we would have definitely been defeated too…and then who would help save Wind’s country?

 

Gato: A good point. Why don’t we leave and come back in a week when we have better ideas?

 

Atsuko: Gato you KNOW we can’t do that…

 

Gato: Couldn’t we? Just this once?

 

Atsuko: NO! Besides I think I have an idea.

 

Gato: Does it involve leaving?

 

Atsuko: You could say that…..we’d might as well try to figure out what’s going on in the Factory of the sun…..it would do us no good to try to fight Boss Tengon…Sakaki is definitely very strong and if he can’t do it we probably can’t either.

 

Gato: So we’re just leaving the kid?

 

Atsuko: For now….i think if we could solve the problem at the factory we can probably save him later anyway….Boss Tengon seems like the gloating type…so he won’t hurt Sakaki…….yet.

 

(So the two of them run off.)

 

Gato: Where are we headed?

 

Atsuko: Remember that key you mentioned? We’re gonna need it.

 

Gato: You’re gonna break into the factory like that? They have guards I’ll bet….we’ll get captured before we get very far.

 

Atsuko: Don’t worry about that! I’ll figure it out!

 

Gato: Some how….I’m not reassured…

 

(Meanwhile as Atsuko said Boss Tengon is very much enjoying his gloating.)

 

Boss Tengon: Thunder you are amazing! I really thought that name of yours was just a nifty handle…. but who knew it could turn out to be linked to your power?

 

Thunder: All of the royal family have powers…..just that Wind didn’t develop his…all the more reason that I should be king and not him.

 

Boss Tengon: Well you’ve gotten what you wished for my boy. We’ll help you rule this land!

 

(Thunder looks over at Wind who lies unmoving. For a minute Thunder has a look of sympathy for his little brother but he soon growls again.)

 

Thunder: I’ve been wanting to do something like that for a long time Wind!

 

Voice: There’s still more!

 

(Then Thunder is nearly hit by a fire blast.)

 

Boss Tengon: No fair! You can still move!

 

(Sakaki is standing using the regular sword as a crutch, and in his other hand he has the sword of flames.)

 

Sakaki: I have to admit I’m impressed with those attacks of yours Thunder! But you know as well as I do that you don’t have the guts to kill your own brother!

 

(Thunder and Boss Tengon grimace.)

 

Thunder: Shut up infidel! You know nothing of this country!

 

(He opens his palm and electricity flows up the regular sword shocking Sakaki who falls to his knees again.)

 

Boss Tengon: Now that’s the right position for you to have when before me! Thunder do it again!

 

(Thunder complies shocking Sakaki over and over again until he’s smoking and barely conscious.)

 

Boss Tengon: HAHAHAH! This is a real show! But now Thunder…you’ve got to kill him. Kill him and show this country why they should tremble in fear when they hear your name!

 

(Sakaki is fading in and out of consciousness and begins to falter, however slowly but surely he rises to his feet.)

 

Sakaki: Go on do it! If you really are as terrible as you say you are Thunder finish me off!

 

(Wind without moving opens his eyes slowly and coughs. He moves his head and sees Sakaki standing in front of Thunder.)

 

Wind: S….Sakaki?

 

Boss Tengon: Giving up Sakaki? A wise choice! (To Thunder) You heard the man! Finish him off!

 

Wind: Wait! Sakaki! Don’t give up like this!

 

Thunder: Boy! Do you even understand what my full power could do to you?

 

Sakaki: Nope….why not test it out?

 

Wind: SAKAKI! HE’S REALLY POWERFUL! DON’T EGG HIM ON LIKE THAT!

 

Thunder: Fine. Die.

 

(He grabs Sakaki by the throat and delivers a huge electric shock into his body.)

 

Wind: NOOOOOOO!

 

(Meanwhile Atsuko and Gato have successfully used the key to get into the factory.)

 

Atsuko(Whispering): Ok Gato our mission is to find out what’s wrong and fix it ok?

 

Gato: Uh-huh….you don’t have ANY idea what you’re doing do you?

 

(Atsuko sticks her tongue out sheepishly.)

 

Atsuko: I was thinking that if I saw something out of the ordinary I could fix it….

 

Gato: And what if EVERYTHING has been tampered with?

 

Atsuko: Long day?

 

Gato: I’m SO glad I gave up on optimism a while ago…

 

(They walk around in the factory, which is pitch black.)

 

Gato: Well toots….the lights are busted…go fix ‘em.

 

Atsuko: Shut up you.

 

(They see a bright light in around a corner and head towards it.)

 

Gato: I suppose maybe we could take that light and use it to get around.

 

Atsuko: Funny…the closer we get to it…the hotter it gets around here.

 

Gato: Hmm…for once I agree with you….I’m burning up!

 

Atsuko: Do you think it’s the sun?

 

(They round the corner and stand face to knee with a huge beast of fire.)

 

Gato: Crap.

 

Atsuko: GYAHHHHH!

 

(The beast turns around and looks down at them.)

 

Fire beast: So I’ve got intruders! I was getting bored and hungry here…I suppose you’ll do for a snack and a bit of entertainment.

 

Gato: Great my final hours are going to be etched out as a monster’s entrée.

 

Atsuko: I’m not going out like that!

 

Fire beast: What are you going to do? I’m pure flame little one; your little human body must be burning up just standing there.

 

(Atsuko begins to waver.)

 

Atsuko(Thinking): He is right about that….I feel like I’m gonna pass out….

 

Fire beast: Why not just be a simple prey and don’t move? I do hate fast food.

 

Gato: Well I hate BEING food.

 

(He lunges for them and Atsuko quickly turns wolf and grabs Gato evading the beast’s grasp.)

 

Gato: Nice reflexes toots! We almost became BBQ there….

 

(Atsuko holds her head and begins to stumble.)

 

Atsuko: So hot…..

 

Gato: Hey toots! What’s wrong?

 

Atsuko: Why aren’t you being affected?

 

Gato: Hmm? Well when we went to the time gate I put some ice in my mouth…its been pretty effective!

 

Atsuko: Why…didn’t you tell me?

 

Gato: You never asked?

 

(The monster lunges again and Atsuko manages to dodge…but she lands flat on her back this time.)

 

Atsuko: Gato…this might be the end….

 

Gato: Great…if only we could find out where this guy learned how to be so speedy….and powerful…

 

Atsuko: Wait…maybe that’s it!

 

Gato: Huh?

 

Atsuko: M…. maybe theres nothing wrong with the factory…..i believe….that this beast has been feeding off its power effectively shutting it down.

 

Gato: Sounds like a theory. But how do we find out if you’re right?

 

Atsuko: We have to find a way to drain him….

 

Gato: Well he IS a fire beast….

 

(Then the beast’s hand comes down and he surrounds them in his fingers.)

 

Fire Beast: The great thing about being a fire beast is I never have to carry around a microwave for dinner!

 

Atsuko: The heat…! Its too much!

 

Gato: Drat…it’s even getting to me…….

 

Fire Beast: Hahah! You will be done soon enough!

 

(Atsuko then notices a pipe with the words “EMERGENCY ONLY” on it.)

 

Atsuko: I dunno what that means….but if it gets us out of this jam…..

 

(She takes off her shoe and aims it just right.)

 

Atsuko: Please be it!

 

(She throws it and just before its incinerated it knocks over the pipe which rolls over to the heat beast and explodes releasing water.)

 

Fire beast: NO!

 

(The beast steps back and this allows Atsuko and Gato to move back.)

 

Atsuko: Well I did end up losing a shoe….but that’s a lot better than being dead…

 

(She reverts to her human form and begins to run.)

 

Atsuko: Gato! Follow me!

 

Gato: Wait wait a second! We just nearly had a heat stroke and you wanna do marathon running?

 

(They run as the heat beast pursues. Just when they seem to have run the most they can they end up meeting a wall.)

 

Flame Beast: HA! Now there’s no where for you to go!

 

Atsuko: That’s what YOU think!

 

(She takes her remaining shoe and slings it above them into another pipe. The pipe falls on the beast bursting into more water. The beast howls and begins to fade.)

 

Flame Beast: I had so much power! How did two pipes do this to me?

 

Atsuko: You’re nothing but a huge battery! I made us do some running because the more you use a battery the faster it runs out! After all that running a little bit of water would be enough to finish you!

 

Flame Beast: Curse you!

 

(He finally fades into nothingness and Atsuko sighs.)

 

Atsuko: Well we got lucky didn’t we? I suppose Boss Tengon hired him or something to keep guard of this place.

 

Gato: But its still dark…and nothing’s running.

 

Atsuko: I know…..

 

(Then Atsuko sniffs the air.)

 

Atsuko: HOLD IT!

 

(Four Tengon guards who were watching and currently headed to the exit stop in their tracks.)

 

Atsuko: You know…I’m NOT in a good mood now…I’ve got a splitting headache, I’m barefoot and in the dark…..(Cracks knuckles.) But there are two things that could make me feel better.

 

(The soldiers gulp.)

 

Atsuko: You guys COULD help me get this place running….or go for option B. (Her eyes flash wolf for a minute.) Option b is rather unpleasant though….

 

(The Soldiers all run to Atsuko and salute.)

 

Gato: Talk about your turncoats…

 

(Back at the castle things aren’t as happy as they are at the factory. Sakaki lies on the floor smoking and Wind wide eyed crawls over to him.)

 

Wind: Sakaki! Sakaki! Speak to me!

 

Thunder: He won’t be doing anymore speaking for a while…and you’re next!

 

(Wind stands up and turns to his brother. Thunder gasps when he sees the deep rage in his little Brother’s eyes.)

 

Wind: Its ONE thing to mess with me! But you can’t bring innocent people into this fight Thunder!

 

Thunder: What are YOU going to do?

 

(Wind opens his palm and a gust of wind knocks over Boss Tengon and Thunder.)

 

Boss Tengon: What is this?! I thought you said he hadn’t developed his powers!

 

Wind: Well you’re wrong! Theres a whole lot you don’t know Thunder!

 

(Wind increases the gust so that it blows Thunder into the wall behind them.)

 

Thunder: You little bastard………

 

(He prepares to get up but is knocked down again.)

 

Wind: Would you just LISTEN for once!?!?

 

(Wind stares at him intently.)

 

Wind: You were right the whole time! I thought that you deserved to be king more than I did!

 

(Thunder looks shocked.)

 

Wind: After that day I went to talk to mom and dad about it.

 

(Flashback Wind talking to his parents.)

 

Wind: Thunder is a better choice for king you guys….I don’t really wanna do it. I rather just have fun and chill out with my friends!

 

King: Wind-kun….is that all you really want?

 

Wind: Yes. I just want to be a normal kid! Have normal problems and live a normal life!

 

Queen: But Wind, what about the noble tradition? Our family?

 

Wind: I never said I didn’t want to be in the family….nor that I dislike the tradition…its just that being king is more responsibility than I really want.

 

King: Wind my boy….you’ve done something that most can never do.

 

Wind: What?

 

King: You’ve realised what kind of person you are, most people assume that they can do something just because they’ve been pushed into it or told they can do it. Sometimes this is true but sometimes its against your personality and is against what you really want to do with life. Wind, you came here to tell us this even though I can bet you were nervous about the whole thing…

 

Wind: Yes…I was.

 

Queen: Well Wind, while I am a little disappointed in your decision, if you feel this way and your father agrees then I suppose that we can do that.

 

Wind: Thanks Mom! Dad! I’ll go find Thunder and tell him!

 

(He runs out of the room.)

 

Wind(Narration.): But I couldn’t find you even though I looked day in and day out…and one day Mom and Dad had an accident and died. Leaving me as King anyway…I heard of some of the things that a man fitting your description did in a far away kingdom and so I became afraid that you WOULD come back.

 

(Thunder looks at Wind with a serious expression.)

 

Wind: No little brother should have to fear his older brother! You can have the king position if you want! Just please go back to being a good older brother!

 

(Thunder looks down ward and Boss Tengon growls.)

 

Boss Tengon: Finish him off! You’ve come this far!

 

Thunder: No.

 

Boss Tengon: What?!

 

Thunder: You’re right I HAVE come this far…but I can always turn around….i’ve affected the people of this village and hurt another person…at least when I thought I could never be king I had a reason….but if Wind is willing to give it up just like that just to make me happy….i have no reason to continue.

 

Boss Tengon: NO! You won’t get away with being a traitor!

 

(Wind turns on him and without moving a finger blows Boss Tengon right out of the building.)

 

Boss Tengon: ARRRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!!!! Oooh a bird! RHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

 

(He disappears in the sky, and Wind walks over to Thunder.)

 

Wind: I knew that you weren’t completely bad…brother…

 

(He gives him a helping hand to stand up and then looks at Sakaki.)

 

Wind: Why did he do it? Why would he give up like that?

 

Thunder: Wait…used the right way my powers can bring him back.

 

Wind: Wait…that’s right! You can re stimulate his heart if he still has a little bit of life left!

 

(Thunder walks over to Sakaki flips him on his back and presses his hands against his chest.)

 

Thunder: Clear!

 

(He sends a jolt and nothing happens to Sakaki.)

 

Wind: Try again Thunder!

 

Thunder: Clear!

 

(Sakaki begins to stir and cough.)

 

Sakaki: I feel……horrrribllleeee

 

Wind: Sakaki! You’re alive!

 

Sakaki: Oh no….that Thunder guy is still here…..

 

Wind: Don’t worry about it! Everything is good!

 

(Then Atsuko and Gato burst in the castle.)

 

Atsuko: Sakaki! Wind-san! Are you guys ok?

 

Sakaki: I’ve seen better days…

 

Wind: Atsuko…how did your mission go?

 

(Then through the hole in the roof where Boss Tengon flew out rain begins to fall slowly.)

 

Wind: Atsuko! You did it!

 

Atsuko: It was nothing much….

 

Gato: Dammit…she makes it sound like we went on a walk or something.

 

Wind: You guys have really helped this country out!

 

Sakaki: All in a days work.

 

(Above the castle a rainbow shows up and can be seen over the whole kingdom. Later Sakaki Atsuko and Gato stand before Wind who stands in front of a huge gift wrapped present, and has a smaller one in his hand. The villagers also stand outside along side Wind, and finally Thunder saunters up completing the set.)

 

Wind: Sakaki, Atsuko, Gato we wanted to thank you for getting rid of the Tengons and restoring order here.

 

Sakaki: hey, this would be a good time to ask….Atsuko how did you get the factory to start working?

 

Atsuko: Hehehe, well I have a rather unorthodox power source you could say.

 

(Back at the factory workers are baffled to see the Tengon soldiers on a huge exercise wheel running and generating electricity.)

 

Sakaki: Uh-huh….

 

Wind: Anyway here are presents from all of us!

 

(He hands Sakaki the smaller present and Sakaki looks at it.)

 

Sakaki: What’s this?

 

Wind: Open it!

 

(He does and finds a sword with a blue handle and a wind symbol on it.)

 

Sakaki: Wow! It’s a good looking sword!

 

Wind: It’s a quick sword! Using that you can strike foes quickly and decisively!

 

Sakaki: Wow! This’ll definitely help with the fight against the Tengons!

 

Wind: I thought it would be.

 

(Then he walks to the bigger present.)

 

Wind: And for Atsuko….

 

(He takes away the paper to reveal…)

 

Atsuko: AHHH! YOU’RE TOO KIND!

 

(It’s a restored Time Gate.)

 

Wind: Your Time Gate has been completely fixed! We all worked on it!

 

Atsuko: Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!

 

(She goes to the Time Gate and clamors all over it.)

 

Sakaki: So how about you and Thunder, Wind?

 

Thunder: I’m going to go to prison for a while to make up for the things I did…

 

Wind: And once he comes back he’ll take over being King…I’ll do it for a bit.

 

Sakaki: I hope it works out for you guys….

 

(They board the Time Gate and it begins to lift.)

 

Sakaki: Thanks Wind!

 

Wind: You betcha! Come back some time!

 

(They enter the time flow and disappear. The rain continues to fall and the villagers all look up and Wind flashes a peace sign at the sky.)

Sakaki: Its not just some WEIRD JAPANESE THING!

 

Atsuko: I feel bad for him though…this seems really important!

 

Sakaki: OF COURSE IT IS!

 

Gato: Then maybe you should have thought of that before you came here!
