-Short summary-

As Ambriel and the native boy's worlds begin to crumble, the relationships between the angels and natives strengthen, but this is only to further detriment...

-Long summary-

The native boy is at least kind enough to wait for her senses to recover before speaking again.

Ambriel wavers and shakes her head, hoping that the last words, no...the entire sentence he had just uttered were the result of her guilt racked mind. A mistake? Her? Him? This? That's impossible right? It has to be....for if this is a mistake, where does that leave her? Where does that leave her emotions? How can she possibly go on? More than sadness, frustration bubbles up in the little angel, and finally comes out as a steam of anger. She asks him how he could say that? A mistake? Is he insinuating that how she feels for him is a mistake too? Why?

The boy shakes his head and apologizes. He tries his best to placate her by absolving her of all responsibility -after all it was him who had sent the signal that the choir had noticed which had in turn spurned them to send her. She was just the unfortunate result of several circumstances beyond her control, and while the feelings...emotions between the two of them remain alien, he does understand that he has to take responsibility for what he started. The only way to take responsibility is for him to admit his mistake, which is what he is doing now. It was a mistake to call out to the angels, a mistake to be with her.

Ambriel is completely silent now, wondering which emotion out of her arsenal she should release first. Anger? Sadness? Frustration? She's got a gauntlet in her possession, and she does intend to use the entirety of the spectrum before she's through. Who was he to treat her as a child who doesn't know any better? Or to insult her intelligence like this? Does he even understand what he's saying? What this means? Does he understand anything? Ambriel then stops her rapid-fire thought processing and quickly chooses her weapon. She looks the native boy in the eye and asks him in a quiet voice if everything is okay? He's acting strangely, and as the one who loves him she can tell that the words he's using are not his own. Instead, they seem to be the result of extended contact with a party who in fact holds a contrary point of view from their own. In short, he had been taking what could amount to bad advice from a friend.

Ambriel's choice to use understanding as her retort catches the boy of guard and his face takes on an unusual and unfamiliar emotion. His eyes widen and his lip quivers slightly as he looks away to keep Ambriel from seeing himself unguarded. Ambriel sighs and thinks how boys will be boys even if they aren't angels, and she then asks again what's the matter? She cares about him....and as such she wants to be on his side in everything. Be it good or bad, she will support him. She pleads with him to tell her what the matter is, and the boy seems to be softening a bit when she adds she is was serious about running away with him, and he can judge that however he sees fit. The boy looks at he solemnly before nodding and explaining the situation at hand.

Meanwhile the younger and silent boy have taken the tall angel to the forest in hopes of thawing him out, but are met with only limited success. The angel's torso remains frozen while his arms, legs and head have defrosted. The silent boy forces his eyes open, and the two are surprised to find that they have completely whited out.  The silent boy whispers in monotone that this is not good, and the younger boy snaps that he knows this in response. He asks where the girl with them has gone, and the silent boy remarks that she probably went back to their camp as soon as they had taken their eyes off of her. She seemed to be pretty unaffected by the whole ordeal, but maybe that was only a front to keep them from discovering her true intentions. The younger of the two growls and glares at the partially frozen angel, his mind whirling with possibilities. What has happened to this angel? Even though he's fine with the angel not giving them any resistance, his unknown status only serves to leave him waist deep in anxiety. If the other angels should start getting worried about this one and come looking for him, the plan could be compromised before it even got off the ground. The girl running away to the camp was also something that he hadn't expected, as if she goes and starts talking the resulting gossip will end with their implication in the tall angel's current situation or worse. He would have to find a way to keep the people from discovering that they know about the power born from the angel's emotions manifesting in the natives and fast.

Suddenly an idea comes to him, and while the likelihood of it working is fairly low, it would at least buy them some time. In addition, he wants to experience the sensation of power the native boy and girl had felt. This would literally put him in the 'hot seat', and give him the chance to test his own power. He smirks and turns to the silent boy, asking if he's prepared to follow him till the end of this...no, everything. The silent boy pauses for a moment, and asks slowly how long he intends this thing to last? The younger replies that he doesn't know that much yet, but if they're lucky it'll be over in an instant....if not, they could be in it for keeps. The silent boy stares up at the sky and says slowly that he's scared of the angels and the possibilities they have brought and might be able to bring. In short he's afraid of change. If he does take up arms with his friend, he will have to promise to never change, to never allow situations to deteriorate his thinking, his goal to never change....in short, he wants his young friend to make 'change' itself the enemy. It's only if everything remains as it was before change started rapidly making the world a harder place to understand, to live in that he will continue to fight by his side. The younger native regards his friend for a few silent moments before asking him what will happen if he is unable to keep this promise? The silent boy shakes his head, and replies that his friend won't allow that to happen, so it will be okay. He then strides past his friend who only after a couple of moments realizes that his suddenly verbose friend didn't answer his question.

The two head into the angel camp and reveal that they had found two hurt angels who are in immediate need of help being careful not to get the attention of too many as part of the younger one's plan. They get the attentions of two male angels, and the two seperate, the younger one going to Sadariel's location as the other silent boy goes to the tall angel's location. As the angel works to get Sadariel down, the younger asks if he knows how Sadariel got the burn mark on his face, to which the angel replies with the made up story Sadariel had given them. The younger smiles, and asks if he'd like to know the truth behind the matter. The angel glances back at him, and rightfully dismisses his knowlege of the matter, stating that Sadariel has no reason to lie. He then starts to get suspicious to how the angel got here in the first place, and asks the boy to explain this to him. The youngster grins, and asks him to put his hand out and he'll be glad to explain everything. The silent boy is giving the other angel the same speech while standing over the tall angel, and both angels's suspicions are won over by their curiosity, and they do as the native children ask.

Meanwhile the elder soul and Dio are supervising festivity set up, when Dio feeling a shiver similar to the time he was being watched glances over his shoulder. The elder soul doesn't notice, but the deus has already become more than wary, thinking to himself, 'anywhere you gotta look over your back more than once is a place where one shouldn't plan to stay long.' Dio frowns and murmurs that the time of fortune and bounty had to give way some time, and he's afraid that time is now.
