-Short summary-

Despite deals and maneuvering, the secret of the native boy's power begins a slow leak with chaos following silently in it's wake...

-Long summary-

Ambriel stares pensively at the massive enclosure that acts as the housing for Dio and the choir. She wants to make a move, but the weight on her shoulders is too much to bear. If she could just tell the deus and the choir what she had discovered with the native boy, perhaps in some way they could be free. With this thought in mind, the little angel takes an exaggerated step forward, only to remain in place. If her recent dealings with Sadariel and her beau had taught her anything however, its that she does not have the luxury to be naieve anymore. As much as she doesn't like what he's doing and in that extent -what he's become, she knows that Sadariel's judgement is still sound and rational. If he didn't run to the deus and the choir to tell them immediately about his discoveries, then this means the risks of doing so are too high even for himself since he is technically the victim in the whole matter.  So what now? Continue doing his bidding until one day he discards them? Oh if only it were that simple, if only.

Sighing, Ambriel wonders if she should ask the boy for his advice? Surely he'd come to her aid since they both are in this situation of dire straights together. She thinks back to the night before when she had taken him back to his people in the silence of the night. Luckily for them, the natives had not only taken the angelic form, but it's need for rest and sustenance. She was able to sneak him in and watch over him for a little while before departing to the angelic camp herself. She had been deathly afraid, as he was so drained from he and Sadariel's exchange. This power as he had explained it seems to do a number on the boy's vitality. She and he had simply held hands quietly until the sun had started to peek over the treetops and shine into the clearing. It had been hard to depart her beloved when he was in such a state, but the two know that the secret would only fray if she didn't return to her kind before everyone awoke. The little angel did, but sleep did not come to her and she found herself pacing by the river, splashing water on her face to keep from looking too worn and the questions at bay. All this happening over the course of one night, had been enough for her to consider confessing to deus and the others which is why she is here now.

Ambriel steels her resolve, and decides that now isn't the time. Although the idea of this exchange between she, Sadariel and the boy occurring every night only causes more anxiety to fill her she knows now with her naievity gone that once she lets the secret free that there is no turning back. Talking without regards to what will happen in the future is worse than living through this strain. She turns around and finds the tall angel boy with whom she traveled down with initially standing behind her with a native girl, and the group is met with a pensive silence. The tall angel starts in first, asking the girl why she's just standing in front of the deus's quarters? Doesn't she realize he left this morning to talk to the elder soul about some kind of celebratory measure? Ambriel blinks, shakes her head and asks the tall angel how he came across this information? It doesn't seem like the kind of thing the deus would discuss with him. The tall angel shrugs and nods over in the direction of the native girl. She had overheard rumors from the elder soul that this sort of thing was going to happen. He had actually come to ask the deus if he needed any help, but someone had told them along the way that he's out. He figured he'd stop in and talk to the choir which is when they found her standing outside looking lost. The little angel nods in comprehension, and greets the girl, apologizing that she hadn't done so at the outset of their conversation. The girl waves it off, and expresses her admiration for the angels, as their people hadn't considered exploring the world until they had arrived. Without them, they'd probably continue to live their lives ignorant of the world around them. Not only are the angels helping them expand their territory, but they're bringing back mementos from the places that they've visited! Ambriel tilts her head and asks what she means? The tall angel lets a rare grin slip, and he gestures for Ambriel to follow him.

The native boy opens his eyes upon hearing strange noises near his location. After two failed attempts, he manages to get to his feet and walk unsteadily to the source of the sound. Suddenly however, his leg gives out and he falls flat on his face. The boy growing frustrated with his weakness begins to stand again when a hand suddenly appears before him, offering it's help. He looks up and finds the silent boy with whom he had consorted with about his feelings for Ambriel. He asks if the boy is okay, and tells him that it's fine if he wants to rely on him for support. The native boy nods and takes his friend's hand, and using him as a support walks with him for a little ways. The silent boy reveals that he and the other child know of Sadariel's 'deal', with he and Ambriel. The native boy's eyes widen and he turns to his friend questioningly. Silent no more, the child tells him that he and their other friend had been somewhat concerned with the native boy's suspicious behavior, and fueled by their own mistrust of the angels decided to follow him around a little bit to ensure that they aren't up to anything detrimental to their people. That had lead them to discover he and Sadariel's bout the night before. The native boy quickly begs his friend not to reveal anything to the others of their people or the angels, fearing what might happen to Ambriel should their secret get out. The silent boy turns and regards him a few moments before nodding slowly, and agreeing with this decision. He doesn't want to hurt the boy, or his angel girlfriend since he is friends with the native boy and the angel girl seems to be nice enough. He then reveals however, that the decision isn't really his to make, and that he already agreed to help their friend. While he doesn't want to hurt the two he doesn't like how Sadariel was trying to use him, and besides their other friend had become rather interested in Sadariel's theory of power relativity. The native boy glances at him questioningly only a moment before the two come to a complete stop. The once silent boy asks if he will tell on them?

Ambriel, the tall angel and the native girl are in the second mentioned abode looking at one of the logs brought from above that the tall angel had managed to acquire. In it Ambriel is in awe of what she's seeing, so much so that her problems all but fade away. Apparently the other angels had better model logs, and this one had come with the feature to record what the angels see. What the group is seeing now, is a far away land where a white substance constantly falls from the air and blankets the ground. Ambriel asks the two if they  know what this stuff is, and they reply that they do not. This discovery had only been made a few days ago, and the choir along with the natives hadn't yet decided on a name. They probably wouldn't be able to for some time since they were already overwhelmed with naming the other events, places, animals and phenomenon happening and witnessed during their travels. Apparently there's even a place where fire comes from the ground! Ambriel's eyes twinkle and she asks if anyone can go on these voyages? The tall angel shrugs a shoulder and replies that only the deus would really know that, but he's pretty sure if one wants to go no one will stop them. Ambriel nods, and thanks them for showing her what they had found. She darts out, leaving the two alone.

Ambriel runs towards the natives living place, a mad plot unfurling in her head. If this world really is this wide and beautiful, maybe...just maybe there is a place for them..! She had come hoping to find out why she felt so alien in her own home, among her own people, so why not take a chance and venture into the unknown? Besides, even Sadariel wouldn't contest them if they were supervised by the deus directly right? Worst come to worst she could find time during the trip to tell him the truth privately. She just needs to find the boy and hope that he agrees that this is their best course of action too.

The silent boy, native boy and third child stand in a circle around something. The native boy looks pained, and not particularly because of his weakness. The silent boy glances at the third child who smiles mischievously. He states that right now their experiment should be occurring, thanks to the consent of another native. If things work the way they think they should, then they may have an edge over these foreigners! The native boy glances in his direction and asks if there really isn't another way? The silent boy shakes his head, and replies that they had this coming...this would have happened eventually anyway, since he feels that way about that angel girl. The native boy frowns and looks down at something in the middle of their three way circle.

Meanwhile the third child tells his friends that they are on the brink of becoming much more than the clones of the angels if a certain someone can be believed. The fourth party of this experiment will let them know soon enough however, so whether he is reliable or not is a moot point. The native boy looks down again, as do the other two natives.

Below them, Sadariel lies mangled on his stomach, alive but barely. The third child grins and reveals that they still have big plans for him, so he should be more patient.
