-Short summary-

Ambriel, Sadariel and the first boy's fate begins to move....

-Long summary-

Ambriel sits Sadariel up and asks in a hushed whisper if he's okay, all ther while unable to take her eyes off the fresh burn scar running down his face. She glances back at the boy who doesn't meet her gaze, and is instead staring at his hand in amazement. He is unable to fathom what he just did, and unable to understand the implications of his action.

Ambriel however, is.

Her mind is already whirling with the possibilities that will be born once this incident becomes public knowledge. How the others will react, how they'll be seen...most of all, the fact that Sadariel has been hurt. Her eyes become blurred with tears as she asks the boy angrily how he could keep such a secret from her? Her eyes meet his for the first time since the incident, and she can see that he genuinely has no idea how he was able to do what he did either. Ambriel takes a deep breath and apologizes for her outburst, which takes the boy a couple of minutes to acknowledge. Sadariel begins to stir, and the angel anxiously begs him not to move too much, and if he's okay. Sadariel coughs and relieves Ambriel by saying that he feels fine mostly...until he touches where his face was burnt. His eyes widen, and he leaps from the angelic girl's arms and backs into a tree. He holds the burnt side of his face with his left hand and trembles when he sees his hand. Ambriel apologizes on the boy's behalf for everything, and begs Sadariel to give them a chance to explain before getting upset...

Sadariel takes a deep breath and sits down. Ambriel and the boy exchange glances and then then stare at him expectantly. The angel sits cross legged on the ground with his eyes closed for a few moments before exhaling sharply and opening his eyes. He looks at the couple for a moment, his glance narrowed, the chubby, cheerful explorer of the past long gone. He nods and asks them to explain everything that just happened, so that he may understand. He then adds that his next actions depend on their explanation so they should make sure they get their story straight.

Ambriel gulps, surprised that he'd actually want to hear an explanation rather than ignore them and go to the choir or Dio himself. While she's relieved that the two have a little bit more time before the proverbial point of no return, and she realizes this is completely within Sadariel's character to be more curious than angry, she wasn't expecting him to be open to an explanation so quickly....that and she's not really sure how to explain....anything. She turns to the boy for support and he clears his throat before talking, keeping his eyes on Sadariel while he explains how he suddenly felt a surge of power when he saw the two of them together. He simply extended the power he felt within outward when he extended his hand to stop Sadariel and then it happened. He's not sure why it happened, or why now of all times but this is the most appropriate 'answer' he can surmise for the sudden burst of power.

Silence reigns for a few minutes as Sadariel sits with his head bowed and absorbs this information. He then surprises the duo by sitting up with his arms crossed, and stating for one reason or another, the natives seem to be able to alter themselves using emotions. The reason why the boy had never been able to do something akin to what he had just done is probably because he's never had strong emotions for anyone...at least not like the ones he has for Ambriel.

Ambriel tries her best not to blush as he continues to explain that it seems they are both required for this reaction to occur. Which is to say, her feelings for him, and his feelings for her are what make him more powerful. Standing up the angel then dusts himself off and states that they are probably the only ones who know of this phenomenon, and as he's the first one to truly 'understand' it, he declares himself to be it's discoverer. Ambriel's tension fades a bit as she begins to feel that the old Sadariel has returned, but this hope is quickly dispelled when he allows a smile to travel through the darkened avenues of his mouth. He quietly comments that it would be a real shame if others were to find this out, deem the natives dangerous and forbid any further contact from them wouldn't it? Ambriel gasps and the boy frowns. It wouldn't bother him in the least after all, since he'd still be hailed a genius for being able to ascertain this information after only seeing the phenomenon in action once. Though their relationship would probably be sent through trials that it would never recover from. Although the angels are working with the natives to explore this new world, getting this involved cannot possibly bode well for either party as evidenced by his face.

Ambriel can feel her throat closing as she listens to Sadariel's words. She's caught in a torrent of her thoughts and emotions, unable to speak, move or even feel. The boy asks her quietly if she's going to be okay, taking her into his arms until Sadariel commands him to back away from her. The boy glares at him, a fight imminent until Ambriel tells him that she's fine and that he should do what Sadariel tells them. He backs away as Ambriel calms down and asks Sadariel to state his demands. Sadariel looks genuinely hurt that she waves his very true feelings as a list of 'demands', and simply sighs asking if the boy is really worth what she's implying? He could very well ask her to be his slave. Ambriel surprises both males by replying that she's found something important on the world below, and if she's not willing to fight, struggle and sacrifice for it she might as well go home. Sadariel pauses for a moment to process this, and shrugs while shaking his head indicating that this is her loss. He really just wants to like her as she is, since they have the same spirit--

Ambriel corrects him that they 'used to'. The moment he decided to use an underhanded method like this to get what he wants, their similarities had ended. Sadariel's eye twitches, and he starts over in her direction before thinking better of it and standing in place. He lets out a short laugh and replies that he doesn't intend on forcing her to be with him if that's what she thinks. No, he knows no matter what he does her heart belongs to the native boy, and he isn't partial to the idea of sharing her with him. Ambriel tries once again to appeal to his decency, and says that she will go to the Deus himself and plead for mercy for what they have done to him as well as do anything he deems as worthy for his forgiveness, but she doesn't want to be separated from his beloved.

Sadariel's dark, wrong smile reappears as he reassures her that he won't allow them to be separated either. Of course with this new discovery made by him, he'd want to experiment, anaylize, and theorize. He can't have them being together all of the time though, cause who knows what they'd try to do? So he permits them to remain together, but only when they are in his presence and when he says so. If they give him reason to believe that they are acting behind his back, not only will he go to deus about their indiscretion, but he will reveal everything about them publicly. With a revelation such as this, even if the choir and deus didn't immediately ask for her return, they would hold her responsible for his injury. If they do what he says though, he'll think of something to tell them, and keep the relationship a secret.

Ambriel glances back at the boy who wears an expression of apology on his face. The girl smiles weakly, and turning to Sadariel nods in compliance. The angel smiles enigmatically, and replies that it'll be a pleasure doing business with them.
