-Short summary-

Azha states her intention to become the new mage. Will her sound logic win over the chaos that has engulfed the proceedings?

-Long summary-

Azha Falk stands at the podium, her arm still stretched in the air above her. She had snapped her fingers once, and somehow had been heard over the strife that had descended in the hall of magicians since Candle's announcement. Due to her petite nature, Azha barely stands over the podium, yet has all eyes in the room trained on her. With a cheery voice, she asks if everyone has calmed down a bit? After all this is supposed to be an election for the next kaiser mage isn't it? It isn't becoming at all for the candidates to be fussing with each other like this.

Hydon narrows his eyes and asks what she's doing here, suppressing the urge to ask his real question; why and how had a farseer managed to get involved in this election? Nonetheless, Azha grins and replies to both questions; revealing first that as Candle had stated she had been able to see the 'magic' in the air, and it had led her here. Acheron's death isn't the well kept secret that everyone would believe it to be, so she knew sooner or later there would be proceedings for his replacement to be nominated. Though even she couldn't have imagined that Iselia would drop out of the race! This is a major problem! Especially with 'the recall', which would turn magicians into lunatics who thirst for blood. It is then her civic duty to keep peace and order within Aerhaart; or the world as they know it.

Skye asks the girl if she understands what she's insinuating....? She hadn't said it in so many words, but is she stating her intent to run for the position? Azha's eyes widen and with seemingly genuine surprise she asks Skye if that's what it sounds like she said. She glances around the room and upon receiving no response taps her head sheepishly and sticks out her tongue. She had meant to put it more 'elegantly', but in the end it sounds like she had come to deceive them. She bows and apologies to everyone, and this time succinctly states her intent to win the race.

Delaney glances at the girl, and motions to his siblings. He tells them to keep an eye on her, since she may be their 'big break'. Her last statement could be seen as a declaration of war! Note that she said she intends to 'win', and not 'run'. The son of Acheron grins and says that she's got something in mind or there's no way she'd be this confident.

This time Hydon chimes in and points out her last statement. She intends to win? And how pray tell would she do that? The magicians in this room couldn't agree BEFORE everyone had lost their minds. What could she possibly do to gain the majority vote now that everyone has decided that it would be better to act in their own interests? Azha looks deep into Hydon's eyes, the experienced mage knowing that she is using her farseeing ability to peer deep within his psyche, but doing nothing to prevent her probe. After a moment she sighs and folds her arms together, giving him a look like a mother who has chastised their child for being naughty more than once in the same day. She remarks that he might act big and bad, but he's really no different from any other magician --no, any other person in what he wants...what he needs. Azha turns to the podium and after adjusting the mic for her convenience, smiles and with a wink proclaims that she can give him and everyone what they need. They may not know what they desperately want and need yet, but she sure does.

She claps her hands and introduces herself to everyone as Azha Falk, 16 years old, current student at GMAGY and most of all a farseer. Though she sheepishly admits that with pink-ish red hair and deep blue eyes that last one is pretty obvious. She suddenly stops and smiles saying that she should continue her 'acceptance speech' when everyone is present. The other magicians glance at each other wondering who among them isn't here? More like, there isn't a list of people who were set to attend anyway so how could she wait until 'everyone' is present?

Azha turns to the entryway leading down to the basement of 'Dover tower', and after a few moments, the sound of several people running down the stairs echoes through the halls. The magicians glance at Azha and silently marvel at the abilities of a true farseer, as many of them had never been able to meet one much less observe them in action.

Cayden, Iselia, Frieda, Damien and Harrow all descend into the hall and stop upon seeing that they are the center of attention. Cayden's arm is in a sling, but that doesn't stop him from whirling around and blaming Damien and Harrow for causing them to be late.  Harrow points out that they could have come sooner if he didn't have to patch up his arm, to which he retorts it took them more time to wake them up after getting knocked out. Daimen groans and asks them to please note that there is a time and a place for such conversation. People who don't notice that they aren't in the correct forum for certain discussions are the worst in his opinion. Harrow and Cayden glare at him, and he responds with a self righteous smirk. Frieda pulls on his sleeve, and with the biggest and possibly cutest smile in the world holds out her hands and asks for her drugs. Damien in a loud voice retorts they are not drugs, and she should stop calling them that. This starts a small riot amongst the group, and poor Iselia can only rub her forehead with her fingers and slowly step away from them, hoping not to be lumped in by association.

Azha loudly greets Cayden, which gets his attention and brings the fight to an end. The snow user asks where she's been, and upon realizing she's standing on the floor to be the next kaiser mage, reforms his question to include an inquiry of what she's doing. She smiles and replies simply 'what I have to'. She then addresses the magicians and says she intends to be the next kaiser mage, and they don't have much of a choice but to vote for her.

Before anyone can ask why, Azha has already started explaining herself. Since the 'recall' has now made every magician in the room--no every magician period (for as far as they know anyway.) a ticking time bomb, it makes no sense to nominate one of these would be weapons of mass destruction into a seat of power such as the kaiser mage. No matter what magician they settle on, the fact would remain as long as he or she uses their magic for any reason at all, they could turn into a monster who derives pleasure from violence.

Then you have her, a farseer who by definition cannot use magic, and therefore cannot be affected by the effects of the 'recall'. Not only that, she can predict with a high amount of accuracy even the most depraved of minds and act accordingly. Before a problem would occur she could have already considered it. There are no magicians who posses such an ability, correct? This not only would extend to her own safety, but to the safety of the nation. Not to mention, the legend about the farseers knowing of a place to hide from the effects of the 'scenario'? Half true, half false. Though if she becomes kaiser mage, she doesn't mind sharing this reason with everyone. Yes. She can offer what everyone wants despite the fact that they don't yet know that they want it. She can offer what they need, despite them not knowing that they need it. What she can offer everyone with her powers and knowledge is something that had been long lost to them.....peace of mind.

She asks everyone to think about it. She can't turn against them since she can't use magic, she knows more about the scenario because of her heritage, and can predict danger. A perfect trio of reasons to elect her; more like why isn't she already kaiser mage? Can they really hope to wait it out and get someone else to do the job?

Hydon scratches his chin, and realizes that this could be his way out of the situation. He asks Lea to take another vote, and this time include both kaiser mage elect members. Reid who still stands in a fighting stance over a dazed and confused Candle, and a worried Kani sheathes his blade and smirks humorlessly. Libby glances at him and remembers that there was an aloof swordsman who was a part of the group, but since he normally keeps his distance, not many had seen him for a while. It really is a small world that two kaiser mage elect members would end up in the same place. Reid strides over to Hydon and Lea, but not before turning back to Candle and with eyes of pure ice claiming that he will 'deal with her later'. Candle shudders and hides behind Kani who can only return his glance with a dumbfounded one of her own.

Lea quickly gathers votes from everyone in attendance, and upon reading the results Hydon blesses the room with another one of his rare smiles as he regales the election results to the room.

Azha Falk: 90%

Inman 5%

Skye 5%

Apparently the two kaiser mage select members had given their forty percent to Azha, and the other members in the room had decided to vote for the fledgling farseer. Azha raises her hands in triumph, and the magicians clap in celebration of her victory. Although his group is happy that someone fro their school managed to become the new kaiser mage, Cayden still has a sense of hesitation towards the incombant Azha. He approaches the podium and after shaking her hand in acknowledgement of her victory, asks the farseer what her objectives are.

In response, Azha smiles enigmatically and says nothing else.
