Let it shine on.….. The path we walked together…

 

 

(Today’s adventure opens on the ruins of a civilization that probably met its end millions of years ago. A time space hole opens up and a small space-ship flies out, flies over the baron landscape for a little while and then lands. The hatch opens and who should walk out but Boss Tengon himself. Boss Tengon gets out and stretches for a while, and then smiles eagerly. Then he faces the camera i.e. us the audience and speaks.)

 

Boss Tengon: Now I know what you must be thinking now right? Why am I the only one on this mission? Why not send one of those Tengon soldiers of yours? Well today I’ve decided to cut out the middleman and get things done myself!

 

(He surveys the landscape again and sighs.)

 

Boss Tengon: While Dr. Sinister did say that it would be easy to find…..I for some reason get the idea that I shouldn’t trust him.

 

(Then he goes back to his ship and pulls out a strange device that looks like a laptop computer.)

 

Boss Tengon: Ok, according to Dr. Sinister, this thing should tell me where to find it!

 

(He opens up the laptop and types in a secret password. Soon a small radar comes out of the back end. It circles around a couple of times and then points straightforward.)

Boss Tengon: That way is it? (Chuckles gleefully) It’ll soon be mine! We have the master technology, and the technical know how…now all we need is the Dragon Castor iron shells and I’ll be able to start my campaign…. I mean conquest of the universe!

 

(He laughs giddily, but is soon stopped by the sound of applause.)

 

Boss Tengon: Huh? Who’s there? (Pauses) Well who ever it is they have really good taste!

 

(He bows, and then the clapping gets closer and finally the source of the applause is revealed.)

 

Boss Tengon: YOU!

 

(Sakaki was the one applauding, and he soon walks over and stands in front of Boss Tengon. Gato soon follows him over, and all three of them are staring at each other.)

 

Sakaki: Well that’s a nice plan and all….but I’m afraid I have to stop you!

 

Boss Tengon: YOU! I thought for sure Bash and Crash would have taken care of you!

 

Sakaki: Well they didn’t. But I’ll sure take care of you!

 

Gato: Ok pal! The game is up! Let’s just stop this annoying time traveling journey now! You just tell us where toots is and Sakaki won’t have to get tough!

 

Boss Tengon: NEVER! (Sticks tongue out.) You’ll have to make me!

 

Gato: Heh I love it when they want it the hard way. (To Sakaki) Go get ‘em Knuckles!

 

Sakaki: Got it boss!

 

(Sakaki runs to Boss Tengon and then stops suddenly.)

 

Sakaki: What am I…..WHO ARE YOU CALLING KNUCKLES?!

 

Gato: Sure took you long enough to catch that.

 

Sakaki: Gato…………..

 

(Meanwhile Boss Tengon has taken this chance to try to get away.)

 

Sakaki: HEY! Stop right there!!

 

Boss Tengon: GAH!

 

(He begins to run.)

 

Sakaki: Drat it! This is our only lead on Atsuko’s exact whereabouts! I can’t lose him!

 

(Sakaki gives pursuit.)

 

Gato: HEY! Lunkhead! Do you even know where you’re chasing him to?!

 

(Sakaki is already out of earshot.)

 

Gato: You know….I really should try looking for a new sidekicking gig….I’m sure someone like me could find something easy.

 

(He finally goes after Sakaki and Boss Tengon.)

 

 

Sakaki: Episode 31: A forced alliance! Sakaki V.S. Boss Tengon!

 

(A flock of birds fly over the ruins stated earlier. An explosion soon interrupts this peace and tranquility, which is then followed by the sound of falling rubble. Sakaki and Boss Tengon are going all out in their fight against each other as they run. Boss Tengon takes out a laser gun and fires at our hero who dodges. The beam hits the floor behind him and causes yet another huge explosion. Sakaki then dives at Boss Tengon trying to swipe at him using the midnight blade, but doesn’t get too close because Boss Tengon then throws what seems to be mini bombs at our hero. He manages to flick these away using the midnight blade, and these all explode around him too. Boss Tengon takes this chance to continue to run, but Sakaki doesn’t cut him any slack and dashes forward catching up to and then overcoming Boss Tengon’s running speed. He swipes over and over trying to hit the Tengon leader, who is actually able to dodge each attack. Finally Boss Tengon throws a bomb down on the floor, which explodes, and then using his cape as a glider he manages to use the wind from the explosion to waft away.)

 

Sakaki: What the?! DAMN!

 

(Boss Tengon cackles at Sakaki as he flies up and away.)

 

Boss Tengon: I guess you lose this round of tag Sakaki! Hahahahah!

 

(Then the wind picks up causing Boss Tengon to accelerate at a faster rate.)

 

Boss Tengon: What?!?!

 

(Then he is blown away in an eastern direction.)

 

Boss Tengon: Wait!!! This isn’t where I want to go!! Wait!!! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

 

(Sakaki sweatdrops.)

 

Sakaki: He wants me to help him?

 

(Gato finally catches up to Sakaki again and flops on the ground trying to catch his breath.)

 

Gato: Freakin….speed…..freak……why…..not…..just say……you…….wanna….kill me….?

 

Sakaki: Oh sorry, I had no idea you were still following us…

 

Gato: AS IF I HAVE SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO!

 

Sakaki: Look I’m really sorry….

 

(He lifts up Gato.)

 

Sakaki: This time I’ll be sure not to lose you!

 

(He starts running in the same direction that Boss Tengon was blown away in, soon coming to a huge monument. Boss Tengon’s wind flow ends and he is abruptly dropped on the top of the monument.)

 

Boss Tengon: OW!!!!!!!

 

(Boss Tengon gets up and rubs his torso.)

 

Boss Tengon: Geez….as if that couldn’t hurt more….

 

(Then he notices something that makes his eyes glitter with happiness.)

 

Boss Tengon: Could that be?!

 

(Meanwhile Sakaki is climbing up the monument with Gato in tow.)

 

Gato: Hey! Climb slower! I chafe easily!

 

Sakaki: I could drop you, and that would solve both of our problems.

 

Gato: And I suppose if the T.S.M.’s fancy watch breaks on you you’ll walk home?

 

(Sakaki mutters something under his breath about a certain someone being worthless and continues climbing. He finally reaches the top and looks for Boss Tengon.)

 

Sakaki: You can’t hide from me! I know you’re up here! Just show yourself!

 

(Then Boss Tengon turns around and stares at him sheepishly. In his hand is a strange gem.)

 

Sakaki: Uh…what…..why are you looking at me like that?

 

Boss Tengon: Well…I was so excited that I found this thing here….and thought maybe it was something I could take with me…so I picked it up….negleticing to read the sign…

 

(Sakaki looks beside him and sure enough a sign is there and it reads “DO NOT MOVE OR FACE PENATLY OF HUGE TRAGEDY.”)

 

Sakaki: So…the sign said not to move it and you did?

 

(Boss Tengon nods.)

 

Sakaki: And….what was even remotely intelligent about that decision?

 

(Then they hear a loud noise akin to a huge pair of wings flapping.)

 

Gato: What’s that?! Sounds like a huge angry…..McNugget!!

 

(They all look up and a huge evil looking red bird is flying above them.)

 

Sakaki: Shall we panic?

 

Gato: On three.

 

Boss Tengon: 1….2…..3…..

 

All: UWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

(The bird prepares to swoop down on our heroes and villain, and at this point Sakaki decides to fight against it, and draws the midnight blade.)

 

Sakaki: Ok pal! You wanna go! Let’s go for it!

 

(The bird flaps its mighty wings once and this sends Sakaki flying back.)

 

Sakaki: Gah!

 

(Boss Tengon too is knocked over with Sakaki, Gato is the only one left standing in the center now, and the huge bird decides that it wants Gato to accompany it, so it swoops down and grabs Gato in its talents.)

 

Sakaki: GATO!

 

(Then with another powerful flap of its wings the bird takes flight.)

 

Gato: NOW LOOK AT WHAT YOU GOT ME INTO LUNKHEAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDD!

 

(This blast of air sends Sakaki and Boss Tengon flying off the monument and down to the ground. They both land and the force of this impact sends them even further into the underground below the monument. They both land with a resounding thud at the bottom, and debris falls on them. In a minute Sakaki bursts from the debris and looks up hopelessly.)

 

Sakaki: Gato….

 

(He punches the floor.)

 

Sakaki: DAMN!

 

(He stands up and growls angrily.)

 

Sakaki: Not only did I lose Atsuko but Gato too!!! I’m not going to allow this to pass at all!

 

(Boss Tengon wearily emerges from the debris and dusts himself off.)

 

Boss Tengon: Man that fall was a doozy…

 

(Sakaki glares at him.)

 

Sakaki: And it’s your fault! You are the one that caused me to go through all of this trouble! If you and your soldiers hadn’t been chasing Atsuko and I from the beginning then I wouldn’t be in this mess!

 

Boss Tengon: Well if you had just considered not fighting back and surrendering easily then I wouldn’t have had to chase you!

 

Sakaki: Quit making this sound like it’s my fault!

 

Boss Tengon: Well it is. Anyway I have no time for you! I have the Dragon Castor Iron shells to look for!

 

Sakaki: HOLD IT! You’re not going anywhere until you tell me where Atsuko is!

 

Boss Tengon: Well…..(Turns around with a serious expression.) I guess……

 

Sakaki: Hm?

 

Boss Tengon(Pulls down eyelid and sticks out tongue): I don’t have to tell you!

 

(Sakaki gets a huge irritation mark and an extremely dark face.)

 

Sakaki: THAT’S ITTT!

 

(He runs to Boss Tengon as if to tackle him.)

 

Sakaki: I’ll smack that stupid grin off your face!

 

(Boss Tengon and Sakaki fight for a while and after landing blows on each other they lie on the floor breathing heavily.)

 

Sakaki: Had….enough…..yet?

 

Boss Tengon: Bring….it….on……earth-brat….

 

(They both don’t move.)

 

Sakaki: You know…we’re not getting anywhere.

 

Boss Tengon: You could say that again.

 

Sakaki: Why are you here anyway?

 

Boss Tengon: I think I said it already. To find the Dragon Iron Castor Shells.

 

Sakaki: Right…you did say that.

 

Boss Tengon: How in the blue hell did you find me anyway? I didn’t even tell the Tengon Warriors where I was.

 

Sakaki (Sheepish expression): Pure luck…..I think Atsuko’s home planet is nearby.

 

Boss Tengon: Well you’re still miles off.

 

Sakaki: Eh? Where is Atsuko anyway?

 

Boss Tengon: To be honest…I have no idea….Dr. Sinister took full control of her actions soon after we kidnapped her.

 

Sakaki: Sinister? What did he do to Atsuko?

 

Boss Tengon: I don’t know I said!

 

Sakaki: If YOU’RE running things how don’t you know?

 

Boss Tengon(Turns around sadly.): Shut up.

(Sakaki stands up wearily and begins to walk away.)

 

Boss Tengon: Where are you going?

 

Sakaki: I have to find out at least if Gato is still alive….so I’m gonna try to climb out of here.

 

Boss Tengon: He should be ok.

 

Sakaki: Huh? How can you be sure of that?

 

Boss Tengon: I know that bird, it’s a Yamitori or bird of darkness. It won’t kill him until after dark.

 

Sakaki: Gahhhh…that means I don’t have much time left!

 

(He begins to try to climb up the sides of the cavern just to slide all the way down again.)

 

Sakaki: Drat it…..

 

Boss Tengon: Well I’m going this way to find the Dragon Iron Castor Shells. (Points to adjacent room.) So….I guess I’ll see you later.

 

(He walks into the other room and Sakaki is already there. Boss Tengon does a double take and shakes his head.)

 

Boss Tengon: HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!

 

Sakaki: Psht. As if I’m going to let you walk away without knowing where Atsuko is.

 

Boss Tengon: Are you really going to keep bothering me until I tell you where she is?

 

(Sakaki nods earnestly.)

 

Boss Tengon: Well I suppose I could find out where she is……but that’s only if you help me out with something!

 

(Sakaki raises his eyebrow.)

 

Sakaki: Go on…

 

Boss Tengon: All you have to do is help defend me from any threats.

 

Sakaki: Really? That’s it? I figured you were gonna have me get the Shell or whatever…..

 

Boss Tengon: WOW that’s a good idea! Why didn’t I think of that?

 

Sakaki: Why are you the leader anyway? (Groans.) Anyway I’m not gonna help you because I don’t trust you.

 

Boss Tengon (Pretty shimmering eyes.): You don’t trust meeeeeeeeeee?

 

Sakaki: Don’t do that.

 

(Sakaki follows Boss Tengon through the chambers in the underground.)

 

Sakaki: So how do we find that yamitori? I should go save Gato…

 

Boss Tengon: Dragon Iron Castor Shells first, then small slightly annoying cat.

 

(Sakaki groans and then walks in front of Boss Tengon. Boss Tengon walks up a bit and passes Sakaki. Sakaki then begins to jog and passes Boss Tengon. Boss Tengon goes a bit faster and then passes Sakaki. Sakaki finally full out runs in front of Boss Tengon who then begins to run beside Sakaki. The two of them run around the whole corridor until they reach a dead end.)

 

Sakaki: I think….we’re lost.

 

Boss Tengon: Yeah.

 

Sakaki: Don’t you have some sort of device to tell you where the castor iron whatever is?

 

Boss Tengon: Oh right!

 

(He takes out the laptop again and boots it up.)

 

Sakaki: hey that’s pretty nifty.

 

Boss Tengon: Isn’t it?

 

(The mini satelight pops out the back again and rotates around until it points BACK the way they came.)

 

Sakaki: WE JUST CAME FROM THERE!

 

Boss Tengon: Maybe in our mad dash we passed it?

 

(They run back and forth looking for where the signal is strongest and when they find it, it seems to be behind a wall.)

 

Sakaki: How do we get it from there?

(Boss Tengon taps at the wall.)

 

Boss Tengon: Maybe we could break the wall down.

 

Sakaki: Sounds like a plan.

 

(Sakaki draws the midnight blade and Boss Tengon stands behind him.)

 

Sakaki: Uh…what are you doing?

 

Boss Tengon: Well you were all hyped up to use that weapon….so I figured I’d let you do it.

 

(Sakaki sweatdrops.)

 

Sakaki: You don’t actually have a means to break down the wall do you?

 

Boss Tengon: I do.

 

Sakaki: Fine then. The honor is all yours.

 

(He puts the midnight blade away and stands back.)

 

Boss Tengon: Ok.

 

(He takes a small device out of his pocket and puts it on the door.)

 

Boss Tengon: Well….I think that….

 

(He runs down the hall in the middle of his sentence.)

 

Sakaki: HEY!

 

(Then Sakaki hears a beeping noise and turns around to see that the device is a mine.)

 

Sakaki: JERK!

 

(Outside there is a huge explosion causing the ruin to collapse downward. After this quake has subsided Boss Tengon walks over to where the wall once stood and steps over the debris inside.)

 

Boss Tengon: Maybe that was a bit overkill.

 

(Suddenly a rock beside Boss Tengon lifts up and Sakaki crawls from under it.)

 

Sakaki: YA THINK?

Boss Tengon: Oh dear. I figured I could blast the wall and get the Dragon Iron Castor Shell, and eliminate you too.

 

Sakaki: I thought you wanted to work together.

 

Boss Tengon: Well I did, but I AM the villain you know.

 

(Sakaki growls.)

 

Sakaki: You….jerk…….

 

(They can see the outside clearly now.)

 

Sakaki: Well I guess now I could find Gato.

 

Boss Tengon: ACK! Where is it? Where is it? I can’t believe that I could have blown it up!!

(Sakaki has a huge evil grin on his face.)

 

Boss Tengon: What…what’s with that expression?

 

(Sakaki takes something out his coat pocket.)

 

Sakaki: Looking for this?

 

(He pulls out of his pocket 6 bullet type jeweled objects. Each one is a different color, but they are all the same size.)

 

Boss Tengon: GIVE ME THOSE!

 

(Sakaki jumps out of the wreckage and runs away.)

 

Boss Tengon: You won’t get away!!!

 

(Sakaki is running at full speed.)

 

Sakaki: If I were a huge evil bird where would I be hiding?!

 

(Then he sees a mountain in the distance.)

 

Sakaki: It’s worth a try!

 

(He dashes there with Boss Tengon right behind him, but then stops at the foot of the mountain.)

 

Sakaki: Hey Boss Loser! If you want these you’re gonna have to follow me!

 

(He hops up the mountain. Boss Tengon catches up and after catching his breath begins to climb after Sakaki.)

 

Boss Tengon: Just give those back! How the heck can you have so much energy?!

 

(Sakaki continues jumping up the mountain until he gets to the top. What he finds there though stops him in his tracks.)

 

Sakaki: Wh-What?

 

(Boss Tengon catches up and stands beside Sakaki with an expression of disbelief.)

 

Boss Tengon: That….is impossible….

 

(In front of them is the huge yamitori lying defeated.)

 

Sakaki: Who….did this?

 

Boss Tengon: I don’t wanna meet them whoever they are…

 

(Sakaki walks around the gigantic bird and looks around for Gato.)

 

Sakaki: Gato? Gato? Hey buddy where are you?

 

(Gato is nowhere to be found. Sakaki notices a small opening in the mountain and heads down the hole for a little while calling Gato’s name.)

 

Sakaki: Gato?! Gato?

 

(Then he lands at the bottom of the hole and sees a pile of disengoured bones and skulls.)

 

Sakaki: Gato?! Answer me?

 

Gato: Over here lunkhead!

 

Sakaki: Gato?

 

(He runs over to the source of the voice and sees Gato buried in a pile of skulls.)

 

Sakaki: How did you get in there?

 

Gato: Well I wasn’t about to let that bird make a happy meal out of me so I hid down here.

 

Sakaki: Did you see who defeated it?

 

Gato: Someone defeated it?

 

Sakaki: I guess that’s a no.

 

(Sakaki takes his paw and begins to climb back up to where Boss Tengon is waiting.)

 

Sakaki: You’re still here?

 

Gato: Wait…why is he here with you?

 

Sakaki: It’s a LONG story.

 

Boss Tengon: Now Sakaki…

 

(He points the gun at Sakaki.)

 

Boss Tengon: Would you mind handing over the castor shells?

 

Sakaki: Aw man…. looks like this is it…

 

(Then flocks of flying creatures surround them.)

 

Sakaki: What…what’s going on?

 

Gato: Let’s just say that big bird had some friends…and I’m not talking the sesame street variety either.

 

Sakaki: But we didn’t do that!!

 

(Then the creatures all close in.)

 

Boss Tengon: I WANT MY MOMMY!!!!!

 

(Suddenly a huge blast knocks away all of the creatures at once.)

 

Sakaki: Huh?

 

(A tengon mothership appears from a rip in time and space and it fires over and over again at the flock of flying creatures causing them to disperse and retreat.)

 

Boss Tengon: Huh? My partners?

 

(Then over the loud speaker a Tengon Soldier’s voice can be heard.)

 

Tengon Solider: Boss-sama! Are you ok? We came as fast as we could!

 

Boss Tengon: Yeah! I’m ok!

 

(The ship lands and the Soldier along with Dr. Sinister and Atsuko step out.)

 

Sakaki: A…A….A…..

 

Gato: TOOTS!

 

(Gato waves frantically.)

 

Gato: Toots! Toots! It’s us! We came to save you!

 

Sakaki: Atsuko! It’s me! It’s ok! You can come here to us! I’ll save you from Dr. Sinister!

 

(Atsuko doesn’t even look at Sakaki and Gato.)

 

Dr. Sinister: Takahashi-san, unfortunately princess won’t respond to that now.

 

Sakaki: What? Why? What did you do to her?

 

Dr. Sinister: I simply brought out her true psyche. The one before was useless and inefficient. This one knows all about the Master Technology, and is much more obedient.

 

(Dr Sinister pats Atsuko on the head and puts his arm around her. Boss Tengon takes notice of this but says nothing….)

 

Sakaki: BRING THE OLD ATSUKO BACK!

 

Dr. Sinister: Now now, yelling never accomplishes anything. (To Atsuko) Would you mind getting the Dragon Castor Iron shells from him princess?

 

(Atsuko finally stares at Sakaki, but then soon turns away from him again.)

 

Sakaki: Atsuko….

 

Dr. Sinister: Well no matter.

 

(He takes out a gun and fires at Sakaki grazing his arm.)

 

Sakaki: ………

 

(He falls backward from the force and lies on the ground clutching his arm. Atsuko then comes to life and walks over to him. She takes the Dragon Iron Castor Shells from his pocket and returns to Dr. Sinister’s side.)

 

Dr. Sinister: Well-done princess.

 

Boss Tengon: Well Sakaki! I guess this means we’ll smell you later! Hahahahah! I’ve always wanted to say that!

 

Dr. Sinister: Do feel lucky that now that we have the Dragon Iron Castor Shells that we have too much work to do to bother with you now. So live Takahashi-san. Live and regret.

 

(They get back in the ship as Sakaki struggles to his feet and extends his arm.)

 

Sakaki: A….Atsuko…..please…..

 

(Atsuko doesn’t even turn back and face them as the hatch to the ship closes and the ship lifts and opens a time space hole. After the ship crosses over the hole disappears leaving Gato and Sakaki alone.)

 

Gato: Toots…she’s like…a zombie now…..and she totally obeyed them…what if…that’s how she naturally is like that doctor said?

 

Sakaki: I don’t care if she is one of them now!

 

(He stands up and clutches his wound.)

 

Sakaki: I WILL bring her back! I already made a promise to myself that I would! No matter what!

 

(He clenches his free fist and snarls)

 

Sakaki: I PROMISE TO BRING YOU HOME SAFELY!!!!!!!!!!!! ATSUKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

(This vow echoes all around them over and over again. Indicating that its speaker speaks with a resolve not found in normal people, and only time will tell how true these words will be.)

NEXT TIME’S STORY

 

Sakaki: So as it turns out, we’re in the right time period but wrong planet.

 

Gato: Toots never did tell us her exact address….I mean even if we do manage to find out a way to get to her planet…how do we know which one it is?

 

Sakaki: Hey! Maybe we could use a telephone book or something!

 

Gato: Dude, a telephone book for planets? If a book for one county can weigh a ton I don’t even wanna think about what one of those would weigh.

 

Sakaki Or we could just win this contest being done in the next episode and get an all around golden pass to wherever we want to go.

 

Gato: Hmm sounds like hard work and perseverance are needed there….’course I’m fresh out of those.

 

Sakaki: heh, luckily I have some left over! Next time on Sakaki Jikan Tabibito!

Gato: Save that for when you win the damn thing lunkhead.
